Farm belonging to Jannie Swieggers (Jan Titties) where predator control had been really intense. 85 Caracals killed in five years. A local irruption of Rock Hyrax (dassies) eventually drove Jan’s sheep flock off the farm during the drought of 1984 which is what got me interested in predators in the Karoo and my PhD study
